Mind Bully

Norense Odiase

A few years ago I was a gap-toothed heavy-set kid, who was teased for being Nigerian and beautifully melanated. At 13 I picked up basketball and everything changed. At 18 I received a D1 scholarship to Texas Tech, and at 22 I led my team to the 2019 NCAA DI Men's basketball championship, later becoming a professional basketball player.

Now I thought that’s what mattered in life. Highlights. But what about the lowlights?

What about the emotional struggles I suppressed, leaving me feeling isolated most of the time?

With hypermasculine attitudes encouraged in sports and business, athletes and entrepreneurs remain silent about their mental health, seeking self-worth through their performance. Not anymore.

Each week Norense delves deep into all things wellness with some of the brightest minds in health, fitness, sports, art, entertainment, entrepreneurship & spirituality. These are not interviews. They are conversations.

Conversations to discover untold truths, unlearned lessons, and important insights to help you beat the hell out of your negative voice!

Mind Bully is different because of how raw, honest, and emotional it is -living up to the phrase “Mind Bully” - each conversation encourages you to fight back against your LOUDEST inner critical voice.
